Police seeking witnesses to fire at Kelowna gas station on Saturday

The Kelowna RCMP is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of a fire at a gas station in the middle of the city on Saturday.

At 3:33 pm on April 20, police attended a report of a fire at a gas station and restaurant in the 1900 block of Harvey Avenue at Spall Road.

“The incident resulted in a male being transported to hospital with burns,” wrote Cpl. Ryder Birtwistle Saturday evening.

“At this time, it is too early to make a determination how the fire started or the extent of injuries to the male.”

Police are reviewing video surveillance footage and interviewed witnesses of the incident.

“If anyone witnessed this or was in the area and has dash camera footage, please contact Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300,” added Birtwistle.
